Help Us Empower Youth to Build Brighter Futures
At People Who Care (PWC), we believe every young person deserves the chance to grow, succeed, and give back to their community. Our mission is to provide underserved middle and high school students with the education, mentorship, and mental health support they need to thrive.
Many of the youth we serve face behavioral and emotional challenges that can limit their potential. Without adequate support, they risk falling into a cycle of negative outcomes.
PWC breaks this cycle by providing a blend of purposeful activities, including community service opportunities, life-skills training, and career readiness programs, alongside comprehensive mental health support.
Our programs work! In the past year:
- 100% of participants avoided re-engaging in risky behaviors
- 92% improved their school attendance
- 84% reported higher self-esteem and emotional balance.
PWC participants have shared: "I can express myself safely here" and “I now believe I can become the better person I want to be.”
This year, we expanded our Green Jobs Training program, launched a social justice education initiative, and welcomed a full-time staff clinical therapist (who is also a proud PWC alumnus).
As we continue to grow, we need your support to reach even more young people!
Your generous contribution will support:
- Free mental health counseling for our youth, facilitated by our on-site clinician.
- Service-learning projects where students gain life experience while giving back to their communities.
- Mentorship, skill-building, and career-readiness programs that prepare students for successful futures.
Your gift can help us make a lasting impact on the lives of over 200 youth each year!
